Landon Update

Landon is starting to be more alert and make eye contact with us. He is sleeping for 2 1/2 to 4 hours at night between nursing and nursing more frequently during the day! We went to his first Doctors appointment Tuesday (12/8) and he is doing really well. He weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. (they like the newborns to be at birth weight for their 1-week appointment). He does have a click in his hip, so we are going to Children's Hospital for an Ultrasound before Christmas. I have confidence that it will work itself out without any major treatment. I have heard this was a common thing that happens while the baby is in the womb. We are going for our 1 month appointment on December 29th because Dada is off work and can come with us! We are going to take it easy for the rest of the month and hang out at home away from the cold weather that is coming. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Landon's Birthday!!!

Here is Landon James Snyder. He was born on December 1, 2009 at 2:20pm. He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces (correction, I put 13 ounces the 1st time, that is how much Jacob wieghed) and was 21" long. He has a good head of dark brown hair and looks very similar to (little) Jacob when he was born. We are all doing great and Landon is a wonderful eater and barely cries. Now I guess we need to change our blog name!!!

October Weekend

Last weekend we started to get things ready for the new baby. We got all of his things out of storage on Saturday while Jacob went to the Newport Aquarium with Nana and Papa. Then he went swimming afterwards. We had dinner with Uncle Chris and his new girlfriend Trista!

We have 7 weeks until the new little one comes and we are very anxious. We have more clothes then we will probably need thanks to Aunt Lindsay (and Cole).

I have been a bad blogger

Hi everyone!!! We have been very busy this summer, trips to the Zoo, a Reds game, Coney Island, The Beach waterpark, Ohio State Fair, and a weekend get away without the little guy to FRANK LLYOD WRIGHT's Falling Water/Pittsburg/DC. Anyway here are some pics of our eventful July. Oh, and by the way, we are expecting another BOY. HE will be born on December 1st!

Jacob has a new cousin... Cole, he was born on March 6th. We will try to get some pictures of Jacob and his new cousin Cole for our next blog! Jacob is starting to learn his letters. He recognizes J - A - C - O - and... B. We are going to work on S - N - Y - D - E - and R next! Grandma got him some letter magnets for the refrigerator and that is the first thing he goes to when he gets home. He is becoming a more cooperative eater, and is trying new foods. He really enjoys Girl Scout Cookies - the caramel delight (or samoas) - he knows exactly where they are in the kitchen.

While mama was in Maryland, Dada & Grandma took little Jacob to the Cincinnati Zoo for the 1st time! We have season passes, so there will definatley be more Zoo pictures in the future!

As you can tell from the pictures, we went sledding for the first time, used the potty for the first time, and went to Chuck E Cheese for the first time (with the Wheatleys). And...

we did all of these things in the past two weeks that we have been in Ohio! Now that we are all moved in we plan on having a lot more firsts. Daddy went to play basketball at church, and has been going out to dinner with Grandpa on Monday nights. Mommy is trying to find a volleyball league to play in, and has been doing some scrapbooking and card making. Of course, Grandma and Grandpa have been spending all of their free time playing with Jacob.
We had lots of snow the whole second week we were here, that's when all the sledding took place. Daddy and Grandpa both left work early on Tuesday and were off on Wednesday. Aunt Jessica was off work all week and come down to stay the night with us on Tuesday and Wednesday. Grandma was off school Tuesday through Friday, so we went out to lunch at Frisch's Big Boy on Thursday!

Christmas 2008

Hi everyone, a lot has happened since my last blog… so sorry it has been so long. I apologize that I have been so bad with my correspondence, but I am trying to make up for it now! Well, over Thanksgiving we went to Cincinnati for just a day because Jacob had a job interview. Then we headed up to Delta to Grandma Dierkens house for Thanksgiving Day. On Friday I had my 10 year HS reunion; here is a picture of me with Theresa, Brandy, and Tiffany.

We had a wonderful Christmas. Over the holiday vacation Jacob and I decided that he was going to take one of the job offers in Cincinnati, so we are moving. We are packing up the moving truck on Saturday, January 17th and heading off to Ohio.
I have also posted some pictures from Christmas on this site. We spent about 1 ½ weeks in Ohio visiting Jacob’s family and staying with my folks. We got to spend some time with my Uncle and cousins (and second cousins) from Colorado, and they got to meet little Jacob for the first time.
